Hey there! It’s about time for another Speakers’ Bureau update. March was a busy month as we prepared for an event called IDignity in Deland. IDignity is an organization that began in Orlando in 2008, making identification cards and other official documents more available for the disadvantaged. If you want to learn more about this group, please visit www.idignity.org. The event was a success and we helped at least 70 individuals in West Volusia!
We also spoke at another Boys and Girls Club - this time in Lake Helen. Our speaker John made the trip over with us, as you can see in the pictures. Kara and John did an awesome job sharing the realities of homelessness with this group, and the kids had some really insightful comments! Thanks to the Boys and Girls Club of Lake Helen for this wonderful opportunity.
